Islamic Studies- Middle School

We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Islamic studies Instructor to join our Bayaan Academy team.

Minimum Requirement:

1. Degree in Islamic Studies from a well reputed institute or college. Coursework must have covered reviewing the entire tafseer of the Quran, studying essential mutoon of fiqh, and a comprehensive reading of hadith under a qualified scholars
2. Fluent in speaking and writing English
3. Ability to digital technology to create engaging lesson plans
4. Ability to connect with kids and always using a positive behavior intervention model

Key Responsibilities

   1. Teaching Duties

1. Lesson Planning: Prepare and organize lesson plans that cover the Islamic Studies curriculum, ensuring that lessons are engaging and informative.
2. Teaching: Conduct regular classes, ensuring that students understand the Islamic texts, their meanings, and the application of Islamic teachings in daily life.
3. Quranic Interpretation (Tafseer): Provide explanations and interpretations of Quranic verses to enhance students' understanding.
4. Ethical and Moral Lessons: Impart lessons on Islamic ethics and morals derived from the Quran.

     2. Administrative Tasks

1. Student Assessment: Evaluate students' progress through regular tests, quizzes, and assignments.
2. Record Keeping: Maintain records of students’ attendance, progress, and performance.
3. Parent Communication: Communicate with parents about their children's progress and any concerns.
4. Resource Management: Manage educational resources, such as textbooks, workbooks, and digital tools.
5. Curriculum Development: Participate in the development and improvement of the Quranic studies curriculum.

     3. Personal Development

1. Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development through courses, workshops, and conferences related to Quranic studies and teaching methodologies.
2. Religious Study: Stay updated with new interpretations, scholarly works, and contemporary issues in Islamic theology.
3. Community Involvement: Participate in community events and activities to promote Islamic teachings and values.

Additional Responsibilities

1. Counseling: Provide spiritual and moral guidance to students.
2. Extracurricular Activities: Organize and participate in extracurricular activities related to Islamic culture and traditions.
3. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to create a supportive learning environment.
