The Administrative Assistant position is a robust position with a range of duties, activities and opportunities. The key responsibilities set out below do not form an exhaustive list, but cover the general areas for an Administrative Assistant.
Purpose of Role:
To ensure the smooth operation of Bayaan Academy's administrative functions.
Directly responsible to:
1. Principal
2. Ultimately responsible to Director
General Responsibilities
*You will be responsible for managing virtual office operations, supporting faculty with digital logistics, and serving as a helpful point of contact for parents and students.
*Meeting Coordination: Schedule and provide technical support for virtual parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and school-wide events.
*Communication: Excellent written and verbal English skills; ability to communicate professionally.
*Maintain and promote a positive, supportive, and inclusive school culture rooted in Islamic values.
*Ensure compliance with relevant educational standards, policies, and regulations.
*Communication: Disseminating important information to students, parents, and staff through newsletters, emails, and other communication channels.
*Assisting the Principal and other school administrators with clerical tasks such as filing, typing, and preparing reports using online tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field from an accredited American university
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of the school’s programs and services, as well as the ability to articulate its mission and values.
- Proficient in using communication tools and virtual platforms.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
